A historic cemetery, the Crown Hill Cemetery is spread across 555 acres on the highest geographical point in Indianapolis, and is the final resting place of many famous Americans like President Benjamin Harrison and the famous bank robber John Dillinger. Many different tours of the cemetery's grounds are available, including the Civil War tour, the Authors, Art & Architecture tour and the Crown Hill Celebrities tour. The site is also the largest refuge for animals inside city limits, and many white-tailed deer can be spotted on the grounds. The cemetery is located one block east of Woodstock Club and south of Butler University.
Grounds open daily Apr - Sep: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Oct - Mar: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tour schedule varies, check website for details.
