Founded in 1837, the Christ Church Cathedral is a historic church and home to the Margaret Ridgely Memorial Library. It is located in downtown Indianapolis, on Monument Circle south of University Park and is the oldest building on the circle. The church is on the national register of historic places and offers guided walking tours, as well as children's activities and regular church services.
